Therapy with me will mean receiving real empathy and validation of your experiences. It will mean having a safe place to share your inner thoughts and when you’re ready, it will mean figuring out how to move you closer to the peace of mind you’re seeking. The first 2-3 sessions are spent by me getting to know all about your life and relationships. This allows me to better understand you and look for possible patterns in your life that would bring insight into your treatment plan.

Primary Treatment Approaches:

Psychodynamic Therapy - This means that therapy will begin by me really getting to know you. We’ll take a look at how past relationships and life events have contributed to who you are today. We all develop patterns in our relationships and these patterns usually offer a wealth of information that together, can be used to empower you towards knowing yourself better and developing confidence and skill in your relationships and choices for the future.

Person-Centered Therapy- This means that I approach you with a great amount of empathy and without judgement. You are the expert on your life and I’m honored to be invited into your space to help you discover new insights, resources, and strength for your current circumstances. As I get to know you I’ll have observations and insights to share while helping you develop new skills along the way.

 

Professional Background

In 2015 I earned a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. I spent five years working in a residential treatment facility for drug,alcohol, and sexual addiction before moving to full-time private practice as a Licensed Professional Counselor.
